Show When Target Clicked

Applies to: VisualSP

Enhancing the flexibility and user experience of walkthroughs, VisualSP introduces the "Show When Target Clicked" feature within the walkthrough editor's Advanced Properties. This feature offers a refined approach to guiding users through processes by displaying walkthrough steps only when the target element is clicked. By tailoring the presentation of walkthroughs to user interactions, organizations can streamline the learning process and ensure users receive relevant guidance precisely when needed. In this support article, we delve into the functionality and configuration of the "Show When Target Clicked" option, empowering administrators to optimize the effectiveness of their walkthroughs within the VisualSP platform.

In the walkthrough editor, under Advanced Properties, one of the configuration options is Show When Target Clicked.

The Target is defined as the Target Element configured in the Core Properties section and refers to the element on the page the walkthrough bubble points to.

Instead of cycling through all of your walkthrough steps in one long walkthrough, you can configure each step in your walkthrough to only display if the target element is clicked. To configure this action, go to the Advanced Properties section of the walkthrough builder and click the Show When Target Clicked toggle to Yes.
