Users Not Prompted to Enable Internet Explorer Extension After Successful Installation

Problem

Users don’t see the VisualSP Help Tab when visiting a site, page, or application where it should appear. This happens after installing the VisualSP Online browser Extension for Internet Explorer and not being prompted to enable the extension after launching Internet Explorer.

Troubleshooting

When looking at the manage add-ons screen it shows the status as “New” instead of “Enabled” like other add-ons and the “Enable” button is disabled so it can’t be clicked.

Solution

Enable the VisualSP browser add-on via Group Policy. Follow the instructions in the Microsoft article: Enable and disable add-ons using administrative templates and group policy.
