Deprovisioning VisualSP

Applies to: VisualSP
Sorry to see you go, but we understand these things sometimes just don't work out. These instructions will help you remove VisualSP from whatever application(s) it has been installed on.

Dynamics Managed Solution

If you embedded VisualSP into one or more Dynamics environments, you'll need to remove the managed solution.
  1. Navigate to the Power Apps home page
  2. Select "Solutions" from the menu to navigate to the Solutions page
  3. Select "Managed" tab from the Solutions menu.
  4. Inside the Managed tab, select "VisualSP In-App Training For Dynamics 365" from the solutions list and then select the "Delete" option from the top menu list.
  5. In the Are you sure you would like to delete this solution modal, select "Delete" to continue
  6. Wait for the Deleting process to complete. This can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
  7. Once the page refreshes, the "VisualSP In-App Training For Dynamics 365" solution will no longer show up in the list and it has been successfully deprovisioned.

SharePoint Online

The VisualSP modern app extension and / or web part would have been installed into the SharePoint Online App Catalog. The web part may be used on various modern SharePoint pages in your environment. Before uninstalling, you may want to remove from those pages. Visit the page, click the Edit button, and then click the trashcan icon for the VisualSP web part. (Of course, you could also simply delete the whole page, if the web part was the only thing used on the page.)_ To uninstall the components from your entire SharePoint environment, follow the instructions here.

Auto-installed Browser Extensions for Edge / Chrome

If you pushed out our browser extension to your users automatically using Group Policy or Microsoft Intune, then you will want to de-commission those policies. If you incorporated the deployment settings into a larger policy that you cannot delete, our bulk deployment article can help you find the relevant settings to remove or reverse.

Teams app

In the left navigation of the Microsoft Teams admin center, go to Teams apps > Manage apps. Click on the VisualSP app. On the next screen you will see an option to delete the app. You must be a global admin or Teams service admin to access the page.

SharePoint On-Prem

If the modern VisualSP system was installed onto one or more SharePoint on-prem farms, the best way to uninstall is using PowerShell. See the instructions here. NOTE: If you still have older farms using our SharePoint Classic wsp method, see our legacy support article that documents how to uninstall using the Classic installation wizard you originally used to deploy.

Custom App Script Codes

If you manually inserted a script reference into a web site, you will need to manually remove that reference. It would usually be found in the header section of the site, and would start with the following format: <script src="https://static.contextall.com/app/js/VisualSPHost.min.js..."></script> Having any difficulty?
