Ask Vic is a Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) tool for End Users to assist them in enhancing productivity in their daily work assignments.
Ask Vic indexes DAP Help Item content to help generate answers to user questions / prompts. It gives you a no-code way to steer the Vic’s responses to answers that are appropriate for your own organization’s best practices, customizations, and governance policies.
When new help items are created, they are automatically indexed for use in Ask Vic upon saving as Published.
When existing help items are updated, the subscription admin/editor may click the 2) “Update AI Index” button in the footer menu of the associated help item in order to schedule the indexing of the item. Indexing individual items generally only takes a few minutes, but this is dependent on app service load and the current job queue volume.
The indexing process encompasses the Title, Description, and Content fields which include the walkthrough Step Title and Content; additionally, metadata such as the Icon and Publish state are also indexed for display and trimming purposes.
