As a VisualSP subscription owner, unlocking the full potential of our tools involves encouraging users to install the VisualSP browser extension. While you can effortlessly display the VisualSP Help tab in your SharePoint environment, extending its reach to other Microsoft 365 applications requires the browser extension. In this concise guide, we provide a streamlined approach. Discover how to prompt users to install the VisualSP extension independently, either through our pre-configured Help item or customized to meet your specific needs. Let's ensure your users seamlessly access VisualSP across their Microsoft 365 applications.
As a subscription owner, you can easily insert a custom action into your SharePoint environment so that the VisualSP Help tab is displayed to your users. However, if you would like your users to see the Help tab in other Microsoft 365 applications, you will need your users to have our browser extension. Typically, this will be deployed in bulk through a GPO, however we understand you may have company-level restrictions that prevents you from deploying the extension in this way.
If your users are able to install a 3rd party extension, you can encourage them to install it on their own through the use of a help item that automatically appears on your SharePoint site. To assist you, we have a pre-configured Help item that you can use as is, or you can customize it as you see fit.
The link in the help item will lead the user to a page on our site where they can download the browser extension on their own.
Download the Help item JSON file and install it in your environment.
