In this support article, we'll guide you through the process of adding content in different languages to VisualSP. Whether you're creating a new Help item or modifying an existing one, the steps remain consistent. You have the flexibility to change the title, description, and Help item artifact, allowing you to provide contextually relevant assistance in the preferred language.
We'll take you through the process of editing or creating Help items, selecting the desired language, and making the necessary changes to ensure a localized and user-friendly experience. As a bonus, VisualSP dynamically detects the user's browser language setting, automatically displaying content in their preferred language, enhancing accessibility and usability. Let's delve into the steps for a smooth and effective multilingual integration within VisualSP.
Supported Languages
VisualSP supports content in the following languages:
- English
- French
- Spanish
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Dutch (Netherlands)
- German
- Italian
- Japanese
- Portuguese (Brazilian)
- Russian
Whether you create a brand new Help item in a different language, or edit a current Help item and change the language, the process is the same.
What you can change:
- The Help item title
- The description
- The Help item artifact
The Process
- Either edit a pre-existing Help item or click the green Add Item button to get to the Edit screen
- In the Core Content section of the Editor window, select the language you wish to use from the drop down:
- Change the title, description, and the path to the new Help media (in this example we are creating a banner)
- Click Save
Our application looks for the browser language setting and if it detects the user is using, for example, a German profile, then the German content will automatically be displayed.
