This tutorial will show you how to create "Top 5 things to know" that can be configured to display either only on your department pages, or globally throughout your organization.
- Decide if you would like these to show globally on every page throughout your organization, or just within your departmental pages. If you would like them to show throughout your organization, build your help items in the All Applications application scope:
If you would like to limit them to only your department, you will want to use a URL filter so that they only show on the appropriate departmental pages, like this:
With either of these choices, the rest of the steps are the same. - Create your 'Top 5 Things to Know' group. It is important to do this first so that you can assign your help item to the proper group. Reference our support article How Group headings work in the Help panel for instructions.
- Create your 5 help items and assign them to the group you created in Step 2. These could be the top 5 things that people search for within VisualSP. Didn't know you have access to that data?
